Whitepapers must be your own original work that you have the right to publish. In general, that means you did the work on your own, not for your employer or as work for hire. We will expect you to indemnify Defining Technology, Inc. against any intellectual property claim that may arise from your submission. You must grant Defining Technology, Inc. the right to publish the work on the Middleware Resource Center web site or any other web site affiliated with Defining Technology, Inc. All other publication rights will remain with you.
Whitepapers should be submitted as Microsoft Word documents. Please don't use fancy styles or complex formatting. The editor will format any accepted submissions for a common look and feel and convert it to a PDF file for publication. The original Word document will be retained only long enough for quality assurance.
Defining Technology, Inc. reserves the right to accept or reject any submission at its sole discretion. We also will engage in normal editorial purview to ensure that the whitepaper reflect well on both you the author and the Middleware Resource Center. That may mean we will ask you to correct grammar and spelling or to rewrite portions that are unclear or excessively verbose. You will be providing this paper for an audience of busy professionals who will appreciate concise and incisive text. If you have diagrams, please ensure that they are clear.
Vendors are welcome to submit whitepapers. They should not, however, be of a product specific nature.
